
Requirements
for Hunting in Italy
Entry into Italy For hunters originating form the European Community travel to Italy is free of formalities. For hunters originating from any other countries, a valid passport is required and in some cases a visa is required. Hunting Licence A hunting licence is required to hunt in Italy. We will handle the issue of a temporary Italian licence for you and will require your details and a copy of your current valid hunting license in advance of your trip so we can complete the formalities at our end. Insurance In Italy a civil lliability insurance is mandatory. We will handle the issue of the necessary insurance policy required by Italian Law. You may wish to contact you own insurer for any additional requirements you may have. Affiliation In Italy, hunters are required to become affiliated to the Regional Hunting Board and a local hunting team. We will handle your affiliation to the regional hunting board and to the Zona Carpini hunting team. Guns We can provide you with a gun on loan provided that you have a valid hunting licence. If you wish to bring your own weapon please note the following rules which apply to the import of your hunting weapons into Italy: European Community Nationals: Hunters may import up to three weapons and 100 rounds of amunition per weapon without previous authorisation as long as:
Non-European Community Nationals: Hunters may temporarily import two hunting weapons and up to 100 rounds of ammunition per weapon but an import permit is required. Such a permit may be obtained from the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your country of residence.
